2007 Accord v6 - to buy or not to buy???
I'm looking at a 2007 Accord coupe, with the V6 and 6 speed manual trans, leather interior and about 50k miles. The car has a salvage title and had some repair to the left front fender and inner fender. The alignment data looks good from when they got it aligned (I read the printout), and the re-painted areas were done well. The car is selling for about "trade in" on KBB.
The car drives smooth and straight and seems to be normal.
Is there anything in particular to look out for? Is a 2007 an especially good or bad year? I'm going to run Carfax or Autocheck before I buy, and will probably take the car to a body shop to check it out.
Any input appreciated!

I would find out from your insurance company about insuring a car with a salvage title. Also check with the place that you want to finance the car (if you are doing this).
Since it is a salvage title, I would definitely find out what work had to be done on a 4 year old car that would have totaled it. It can't be just a fender/bumper repair. I definitely would have it inspected by a body shop or an garage that specializes in Honda/foreign cars. They should do a buyer's inspection.
Until you do your homework on this, I would would not purchase this car. The only way I would buy it is if I was sure that the repairs done on the car returned the car to normal condition. You don't want to face headaches later.

Thanks PAHonda, I'm pretty experienced buying and selling salvage title cars. I'm more interested in the specifics of a 2007 Accord - are they known to be a good or bad year? Any known problems? I'm not sure if the auto transmissions were still bad, which is part of the reason I'm interested in the 6 speed.
