@tammy53 keep in mind, not all dealership service departments are corrupt. You should also be able to research a Honda shop with good reviews; I have a shop near me where the owner is a former certified Acura service technician. A little shopping should help you find a good shop.

Default Have the same issue

I have the same issue with my car and can't seem to figure it out. Wondering what it ended up being that fixed it. Thanks

This is a four year old thread, so you may not get a response. The issue they had from the vehicle accident could be different than yours. If you haven't already, try some of the troubleshooting steps suggested/mentioned in this post.

I'd start a new thread to get advise on your particular problem to narrow down the root cause if you are trying to DIY troubleshoot. I'd definitely suggest checking for codes to help give you some direction on testing. Take a look in your owner's manual to see if your car has an inertia switch or a fuel cutoff switch.

Search youtube for "2008 Honda Acoord Inertia switch location". It is in a different language, but turn on the closed captions. Not sure what year accord you have, but this may give you direction on how find and reset if your accord has an inertia switch.

Found some Info from another group. Guy said my key may have became not programmed to the car. Which makes sense, my key was out in freezing temps for a month or more, the car has been dead for months. My keys buttons don't respond to the car anymore. So he thinks the immobilizer is keeping my car from running. But if that doesn't work tomorrow, then I'll make a new post. Thank you
