2009 odometer issue
On a road trip, the maintenance minder light came on. I noticed that the odometer set itself to the engine oil life % setting. I pushed the odometer button which brought it back to mileage and the light went off. Now, when starting the engine, the odometer defaults to the oil life setting and the light comes on. It isn't a big deal unless I want to sell it or trade it. Any help is appreciated, gentlemen.

If the remaining engine oil life is 15 to 6 percent, you will see the engine oil life indicator every time you turn the ignition switch to the ON (II) position. The maintenance minder indicator will also come on, and the maintenance item code(s) for other scheduled maintenance items needing service will be displayed next to the engine oil life indicator.
It is essentially saying the engine oil should be changed.
You can reset the maintenance minder back to 100% (instructions are in the owner's manual); however, the engine oil should be changed and other services done as needed.
