2013 accord intermittent start issue
My wife drives a 2013 accord 3.5 v6 with the push to start. Lately it has been giving her problems starting. You push the button and hear a click like a starter solenoid, all the dash is powered, but the starter doesn’t turn over. After repeating this many times it starts, but she says it’s getting worse.
I was going to replace the start/stop button, and wanted to know if I did that will the original key fob work with the new switch?

Hearing the starter solenoid likely means the start/stop switch is likely ok. Most likely the starter solenoid is bad or maybe a bad cable/connection at the starter. You can try a test light at the small wire connecting to the starter to see if you are getting 12V when you push the start button. You can also try the caveman test, where you hit the starter with light/medium force with the handle of a screwdriver while your wife is hitting the start button. If the starter fires up, you pretty much verified the starter needs replaced.
I'm a fan of Denso aftermarket starters or having your current starter rebuilt. I've read about a lot of box stores remanufactured starters being bad out of the box or not having a long life.

Thanks for the reply. I was leaning towards a starter replacement. Looks to be pretty straight forward.
Would anyone know if replacing the push to start button requires any sort of reprogramming of key fobs or anything like that?
