2013 Honda Accord died on highway & towed to dealership
Just wondering if anyone with a 2013 Accord has had the same thing happen to them?
My brand new 2013 4 cyl. auto Honda Accord EX died last night on a highway on-ramp, and had to be towed to the dealership. As I accelerated onto the highway, I lost almost all engine power, it became more difficult to steer, and the check engine light, electric power steering light, traction control light, and tire warning light came on all at the same time. I plugged in my OBD2 reader, and it pulled the code P0339, which is "Powertrain Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Intermittent."
The service department just called and said the crankshaft sensor has failed and can't get the part in for 4 more days, and they are paying for a rental car. Wasn't expecting this so soon on my brand new Accord.

A failed crankshaft position sensor will usually kill the engine. Why on a 2013? If you look at parts failures, some (not many) failures occur early in service, and are called infant failures. You're just unlucky. #### happens!
