Default 86 accord carb & fuel pressure ?

My haynes manuel does not have the fuel pump electrical diagrams for some reason.

Trying to figure out either of two issues.
1: what regulates fuel pressure to the carb?
does the ECU have anything to do with it? is there a FPR on the carb models? does the carb itself regulate the pressure similliar to older chevy/gm vehicles?

2: how is the fuel pump circuit wired into the car?
...the fuel pump gets 12v constant while the engine is running? is it 12v from batt to a relay then activated at key ON or START? does it get 12v or less voltage?

If anyone has a diagram or any info available i would greatly appriciate it.

What issue are you having? A fuel volume test tells a lot.

Well long story but we pulled the motor and are building an off road vehicle. I am using the factory fuel tank/pump and still have the donor accord.

My book doesn't show a wiring diagram of the fuel circuit at all so i cant really wire the pump up with the factory relay not knowing what wires go where. I can give the pump 12v on key ON/START and the motor cranks, but 10 seconds later, fuel dumps out of the two ports on the top of the carb. As if the bowl is full and the fuel is not being turned off.

Any suggestions? I thought a carb FPR would do the trick but I bought a cheapo at the parts store today and it didn't do anything different. Was supposed to limit pressure to 2.5psi but i think the flow is the issue. What does the carb or fuel system have to limit the amount of fuel entering the carb?

Carb should have a float-valve which is supposed to stop the flow when the float-bowl is filled to the correct level. The float valve was always a normal part of a carburator rebuild kit, so it's kind of a normal maintenance part.
