'86 Accord LXi - Power Steering Pressure line - Removing
Hello All,
I have a '86 Accord LXi with a leaking power steering pressure line.
I've disconnected both ends of the hose and unbolted the "keepers" along the line.
But now, I'm having trouble physically removing the hose due to the shape of the bent metal portion of the hose and how it wraps underneath the car.
What's the best way to get the old hose out? Through the top of the engine bay? Down through the bottom?
Thanks in advance!

It is late so forgive me.
LX-i-Fuel inject-(using the 89) . Remove the air cleaner-the one that holds the filter. Below that you should see a three way fitting. Two of the three have to be removed-back-and right/pass side. From there, move the "rack" end of the hose to the pass/right side of the car-use a little force to get it passed the center beam. Once passed the center support it should "snake" up towards the front.....oh, then on the insatall-make sure to get the "ps return" lines in the right pos.....get the rack end fitting hand tight...PM me with any questions....We (oldest son and I) did this 3 weeks ago on an 89 LX-i Coupe...fresh in the mind.
EDIT: You will need to add fluid, only use fluid that is approved for Honda's//Acura-Please trust me on this.---Valvoline PN# HPS-12 or from the dealer $$$$

Wow!! Talk about service! lol
Thanks for the info. I was wondering about that 3-way (wasn't sure if it was something that I wanted to remove!).
I'll get on this in the AM. It's almost time for New Year's Eve festivities.
(And eerily, this car was my son's until he got a newer accord!).
Again, thanks for the info. Hopefully it'll go smooth from here.

On that 3 way connection-it is plastic and 20~something years old so be careful moving those clamps-twist the rubber hose, gently-then try to remove them..I've palyed with the 3rd gen's (86-89) a lot.....hope I was able to help. Happy New Year!
