He guys,
I have a 87 Accord with a 2.0L Carburated motor. I blew the head gasket and now its time for motor replacement. My buddy got his accord tooken off the road due to a large amount of rust on the body. He is selling me the engine. My question is will his 86 Fuel injected motor work in mine if I change the motor back to Carburated? Is there any sensors I have to change or modify?

I dont know 87 cars, but it seems like the ECU & all the wiring harnesses youll have to add, make that a really big job.

 

I was into the 3rd gen accords for a while, the 86 and 87 is pretty much the same, I see no reason to change the FI motor to carb'd, it would likely be easier to swap ecu's also and use the FI as is, more power, better mileage, sounds like a good swap. there are a ton of people on the #geez.com forums that would love to do that swap.
