87 accord wont turn over to start

Ok, thanks...might be two different issues.
There are two wires to the starter,,,,,the small one that is a "spade" connector and a larger one that connects by a nut.
If you have a volt meter, measure the voltage on the larger one. Should be the same as the battery. Then with the help of someone, measure the voltage of the smaller wire while trying to start the car.
Sounds "like" there is an issue but now the starter has given out........
Edit: the lower (bottom of the starter and "slightly to the front of the car) bolt is hard to see and get to, you'll just have to kind of "feel" your way to it, if you need to replace it.....BTW, don't worry with the little bracket.....you can do without it
