88 Accord no dash lights

I tested all the fuses with a meter, all are fine. I grounded out all three connections in the dimmer and no dash lights. I tried tying any and all of the three connections together and nothing. If I ground out any of the red wires, the dash lights come on full bright. If I ground out any of the Red wires with the Black stripe, I have to find another 15 amp fuse, LOL.

So you ground the wire and the lights go full bright....So we know the gauge lights are working.....they are not getting the proper signal from the dimmer.

Yes that is right. The dimmer switch is no longer connected in the lighting circuit. When I get a few minutes I will check the wiring to see where the wires go from the dimmer and see how they are connected into the harness. If I don't have time I will make something work with an after market dimmer and a little cutting and splicing.

I have not found the dashlight brightness control unit.
