Like i said heater only blows when the key is between off and on I or on on I wile i push the key. I removed my tumblers with no problem theres nothing wrong with them. And the inside of the actual ignition is clean. Its a 88 accord 4 door with a brand new motor so i can drive it forever unless it rains cauae my defrosters will only work with key on engine off. I checked the power wire bleow the stearing wheen where all those wire clips are and i have no power to the main heater wire with the car running.

 

Not sure about 88 model, but later Accords have a ignition switch assy driven by the mechanical key lock assy that wears out. It is a frequent cause of electrical problems; no start, sudden stoppage, etc. This switch assy is directly linked to the key switch assy.

Many times, ignition switch....you can go to Autozone's site and look it up for your car. Might call around and see who can get it and what the prices are.
