Default 89 Accord oil pan gasket replacement?

ok so my main question is if i don't have access to a hoist, should i even be attempting this? From what i can tell i'll have to remove some other parts before i can even get the oil pan off and since i've never tried something like this before I'm not completely confident that I could do it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Nah, put the front up on sturdy jack stands or ramps. DON'T get underneath with just a jack.

I never had an 89, but I bet you'll have to remove the exhaust pipe under the pan. A couple pan bolts might be hiding around the tranny end, & maybe there's some braces between the block & the tranny.

Looks like there's a stiffener #15 for you to un-bolt. That's for a 5-speed, I don't know if there's something like that with the auto?

Then I think the pan gasket might have little steel rings around the bolt holes, molded into the rubber gasket. Don't leave those behind when you take off the old gasket.
