Default RE: 91 Accord LX burned clutch smell

The master cylinder is new (non-reman) and it's the best quality aftermarket one I could find. I've repeatedly checked the wheels for excesseive heat after long trips and they've always been unusually cool to the touch. The distributor is leaking between the cap and housing (inside the cap). So far, it looks like it hasn't contaminated the coil or ignitor, but I don't want to push my luck. I'm just so stinkin' broke right now. I'm starting to believe that it is some sort of leaking fluid getting on the exhaust, but I just can't figure out what. The smell is defintely strongest in the engine compartment. Even with over 230,000 miles, there is still no lack of engine performance. Thanks again for all the help.

look for areas of discoloration on the exhaust... If you don't see anything on top then my guess would be that something is running down under your oil pan and dripping on the exhuast underneath... you can always try power washing your engine and then run it for a while and see where it's coming from by tracing/following the leaks
