91 accord no start/no spark?
#14
I had the same thing happen to my 91 , just shut down, here is a link to my thread, I origanally thought it was the fuel pump, but it turned out to the distributer. In the forum there is an explanation on how to test the two components in your dist, you can take them to autozone and check them befoer you purchase the wrong thing. My parts checked out good, so the only thing left to replace was the dist itself. Fired right up. When I orig posted that I had a bad fuelpump, because the day I went to chk everything out, it was hot and the windows were up. Turns out that these years have a prob with the fuelpump main relay (the solder on the circuit board cracks) and when it gets so hot inside the car, it expands and the car wont start. If its cool inside the car, it will start. That day I took the plug out of the fuel rail , turned on the key, and no gas (thats why I thought it was the fuel pump) So I would start with the dist. If you later have a prob with the car not starting when its hot, resolder the connections in the relay. in the meantime I will try to track that info down and add a link for it as well.
