91 accord sometimes has problems starting
alrite my accord seems to run exellcent but the odd time ill start it and it will die i just give it a bit of gas and it gets up to proper revs or sometimes when im trying to start it it just cranks and doesnt turn over until i stop let it sit for a sec and try again. Its a 91 accord exr. I was thinking maybe the fuel filter but i just wanted someone elses opinion. Oh i i find when i have the tank completly full it rarerly does this but when i get down below half it happens for frequently

RE: 91 accord sometimes has problems starting
This could be a failing main fuel relay. Do a search for "main fuel relay" for lots of experience by others. When no-start occurs, listen carefully for fuel pump to engage for 3-secs when you first turn keyswitch to ON. If you don't hear the fuel pump in the fuel tank, then Main Fuel Relay is likely.
It could also be a failing ignition switch. If you notice the instrument panel lights are OFF (no check engine light, alt light, etc), when you have no-start condition the keyswitch is the problem. Rule out keyswitch before replacing fuel pump.
good luck

yea when u turn your acc.power on make sure its quiet and listen for 2 clicks coming from under the drivers dash..u should hear 2 sequential clicks,,clik....clik..if u dont hear the second clik. its the fuel pump relay.change it..if problem still exists charge or change batt.relay cant do its job if cars not gettin enough voltage,,...had the same prob and this cleared it right up.If prob still exists change fuel filter and clean injectors
