91 Honda Accord Felpro Valve Cover Gasket problem
Purchased Fel-Pro Valve Cover Gasket Set Part #: VS50365R here and could not get the blue rubber gasket to sit right no matter what I tried.
It just seemed to be very slightly too big to fit properly in the groove for it.
Has anyone else had an issue with this? If so, is there another brand that does not replicate this problem?
Thank you!

YES, I've run into this. I just finagled it into place and carefully set the cover down so I don't really know if a different brand is any different.
In a strange way, that's a good thing because the gasket is in a little bit of compression - IF you get it into place successfully.
I've pushed it around so the excess length is on the front side of the cover, then set the cover down in back. Carefully push the gasket into place in the front with a putty knife in order to set the front side of the cover down. First time I think it took me a couple tries to get it in place properly.

Okay, great. If no one else has had better fit with another brand, then will take it off and try again/give this a shot once the overheat issue is resolved.
(Or during if it is the water pump? It looked like the youtube video said that valve cover had to be removed in the water pump replacement process...)
THANK YOU

The valve cover usually comes off for the timing belt & water pump job. The upper cover of the timing belt is trapped under a lip of the valve cover. I'm not sure how hard it would be to get that cover off without removing the valve cover.
