92 Accord Igniter affected by heat?
#31
It can be challenging working under the dash. I don't remember this location being as difficult at the 94-97 Accord MFR. Key was removing the speed control module.
Suggest confirming whether you're getting 12V for 2-3 secs to the fuel pump connector in the trunk when keyswitch is turned to On. If voltage is missing, then MFR is highly likely to be culprit. If 12V is there each time you check and fuel pump is not running. You'll have to check for 12V w/o fuel pump connected so an intermittent circuit can be difficult to be certain.
good luck

After a nice cool shower and water and you guys inspiring me...I decided to attempt the removal of the MFR again. Not in a very elegant manure, I jerked the SOB off it's bracket.
I did a clean re-solder on all terminals and put it back in the car. This time, I could hear the fuel pump during the 2 second CEL sequence. The whirl/low hiss is not very loud, had to stick my ear up against the fuel fill nozzle. Did this before and could not hear anything.
So, I tried to simulate the hot no start and everything seems fine. The next few days when the wife parks in the sun or what ever was creating this symptom will be the test.
Great guys, thanks again for the support.

Progress update,
Still no problem with the intermittent no hot start symptom. The advise and support from this group is above and beyond commendable.
The wife is happy, so you know what that means....HaHaaa!
Thanks Guys,
Tim
