92 Honda Accord hard cold start
#11
I believe the problem might be fixed! I replaced the TW sensor(Engine Coolant Temp sensor) and my car started right up this morning.
Now I say might have fixed it because I also did a few other things:
1. I turned my key to the II position and left it there for about 20 seconds before attempting to start.
2. After leaving the key in the II position for 20 seconds I pressed my gas pedal down to the floor and held it there for about 7 seconds.
I will just try to start it up tomorrow morning without messing with the key or gas pedal and confirm if the solution was the TW sensor.
After all of this my car started right up this morning. I've put up with this hard start all winter and I'm so glad it is over. Thanks to everyone for suggestions! Very much appreciated!

Has nothing to do with what? It fixed my problem so I'm going to say that it did. Like I said replaced it, problem solved. I don't really know where your coming from. And there's no way im taking a part back that fixed my car. Elaborate on what you mean???

The part may or may not have fixed your car. Hopefully it did.
That is why I suggested to check for codes, because a faulty sensor should trip your check engine light and a code would be stored.
Did you use the recommended NGK spark plugs part number ZFR5F-11? Most parts stores carry them for about $2 each.

I never did change the spark plugs they were all firing, only the TW sensor and yes that was my problem. Started up just fine this morning again this time without messing with the key postions or gas pedal. I believe this problem is solved! Once again thanks a lot man. BTW will changing my spark plugs help with fuel efficiency? If so I'm going to run down and get those today.
