93 accord window issue
I have read through everything I can find and still have no answer to my problem. The driver side window is slow. It will go down then up, or it will go 1/2 way down and stop, and if I wait a few minutes it will go back up. Then it tries to roll up outside of the rubber trim, then it tried to fall a bit forward. Now I'm afraid to try it all for fear it won't roll back up. I have siliconed it, I have switched the lock out button back and forth, I have tried it at idle speed, I have tried it while driving 65mph... I think from what I read it is the regulator but how can I know this? What does a regulator do? All the other windows (4 door) seem to be working well. Slow as heck, but well. I just don't want to spend alot of money on parts I don't need. TIA for any help. cc.

RE: 93 accord window issue
The regulator is the metal slide(track) the motor is bolted by three bolts to the regulator, on these years it is IMPERATIVE to silicone the rubber sealing on the perimiter portion of the window frame, for some reason honda tried to make this model air/water/submersible tight, lol. I've had the same issue before.
The motors are typically $120 +/-, ebay $40.Most of the time I have just gone to the junk yard, and replaced the internal white gear assemblythat ALWAYS jambs up. If this is not the case with you, definatly using white litheum grease on the regulator (track) makes a diff.

RE: 93 accord window issue
Well I found with mine It was because the bolts that hold the track on had become lose which caused the window to lean and made it stiff to roll up and down. So I would take the door panel off and check the bolts. it's fairly easy to tell, take the door panel off but leave the wires for the window hooked to the door, press the up and down buttons for the window, you will see the whole track jerk if their lose and you will be bale to tell which ones are. After I tightened them up, I sprayed some lube and it works fine now.
