So I was on a private road and took the accord up to 100 and it just sat at 4500 RPMS and 100 MPH. I don't drive like that on the highway but this im puzzled. It just wouldnt climb past 4500 on last gear.

Also its starting to make a very very audible clicking/knocking noise when I make a hard left turn. Like a U turn. Sounds like its coming from the right front wheel and transmission area. I looked under the car and the steering linkage little rubber thing is torn on both sides. Other than that I have no idea what is wrong. CV Boot is fine.

Is the Check Engine Light on or D4 light flashing? If yes, check for obd1 codes and post them.

Almost always clicking when turning is CV joints damaged. A bad boot is not absolutely necessary for a bad CV joint, but usually that is the cause of CV joint failure.

You should replace the steering rack end boots. To avoid dirt getting on hydraulic rods and failing rack. It's possible the boots are interfering w/ cv axles and causing noise.

There are NO lights on that shouldnt be on. CEL/D4 is not blinking.

I just changed to NGK Iridium plugs 500 miles ago. I havent noticed any bogging or hesitation. Just changed air filter, oil, same day as the plugs.


are the STP air filters I got at autozone any good? I dont think they are oe spec. My intake tube is cracking and Ive sealed it up pretty good with silicone but I might have to go ram or cold air.
