Your vehicle I believe was designed for both fans to cool the engine. Does the fan come on at some point before it overheats? Are you sure the fan that is working is the cooling fan not the condenser one. I would inspect the radiator core. If copper cored look for the fins separating from the rows and is usually toward the bottom and aluminum or copper inspect the core from being caked with something more so on the condenser side. Copper cored radiators have not been common for a long time but was original equipment on your Accord so if you have one it is most likely pretty old.

Does the car overheat when your are driving or stopped?

If you remove the radiator cap, is the radiator full of coolant?

If you jump the connector to the temperature switch on the thermostat housing (green plug), when the engine is running, do either of the fans turn on?

after driving when its hot outside it will overheat after 20-30 minutes, I checked it out today and both hoses going to the radiator were hard and really hot. how do I jump the green plug? also if I dont have a thermostat in will that make a differance? Also when I first got the car every time I came to a stop in would die, so I raised the idle threw the throtle cable and had to open the air/fuel srew to keep it running like it should. it has been idleing at 900-1100rpm's and when I first start it when its not already warmed up it idles high(about1600rpm's) for a couple of minutes then surges up and down for a couple of minutes then drops to 1000rpm's

Is your check engine light on? Have you checked for codes?

1 - Leaving out the thermostat can cause the flow distribution around the different places in the engine to be out-of-proportion to each other.

2 - Using the throttle cable to adjust idle RPM will confuse the idle control system. Look in DIY for some instructions about setting the BASE idle.

3 - How do you open the "air/fuel" screw? Because on your car there is no such thing.
