94 Accord: Power window fuses blew
The other day, I drove to work with my windows down. Got to work, ran the windows up. Left work, got into the car, started the eninge and tried to run the windows down. No joy. The only unusual thing that happened was that we had a gully washer of a rainstorm.
Today, I started looking into things and found that ALL FOUR of the power window fuses in the fuse block under the hood had blown. I don't think that this car had blown a fuse before in all the time that I've owned it which is since 96.
Any ideas about what could cause this?

It has to be something common between all of the fuses, so I would start at the power windows switch.
I would unplug that switch, and replace one of the fuses. See if the fuse blows.
You may want to inspect the wiring harness that goes through the driver's door.

They're still working fine.

I'm tacking this onto my existing thread about the power windows.
I mentioned that ALL FOUR power window fuses had blown and I had replaced them or so I thought. While I was fiddling with my brake light issue from anther thread, I was in the fuse box and I noticed that one of the power window fuses was missing. "Strange," I thought because I had had all four windows open earlier that day.
So I started pulling the the other fuses that are marked for the power windows and I found that only one of them actually had any impact on whether the windows worked.
Any thoughts?

A possibility is that the plastic sheet protector between the inside of the door the and door panel is gone or not sealed backed on due to previous work (for example: replacing window regulator or power door lock actuator). Water from the rains may have gotten on some electrical component and caused a short.

Red Bull, that explains the blown fuses. I'm just wondering why only one fuse has any effect on window operation.
There are four fuses that are marked for the power windows, one for each window. I can pull three of them and all four windows still work. That is screwy.
