The CEL code 3 is for the map sensor. Start simple and check the electrical connector.

The D4 code 4 is for the lockup clutch not engaging (the D4 has a different set of codes). The shop should look into that one.

There is an important ground bolted to the thermostat housing that you may want to check. I would unbolt it and clean the eyelet with some sandpaper. The reattach it.

Thanks for the feedback, im going to check it out right now, this is important for the map sensor right? not the lock up clutch right?

Edit: Just looked for a ground on the thermostat and found none. btw this is a automatic tranny

Sorry, thought you had a different generation accord. That important ground is on the top of the intake manifold on the driver's side of the manifold. Here is a picture:

What do you mean both?? There's only one CKP sensor.

I think it's bundled together on the same wiring-harness plug along with the TDC sensor. So I guess YES they are different.

They have different Honda part numbers, so they are not the same part.

The crank position sensor (CKP) is one of the three sensors in your distributor (it was moved to under the timing belt cover when OBD2 was introduced in the 96 accord). Each sensor in the distributor is the same, they each send different signals at different times to the computer per revolution of the engine.

Speaking of fail, I should have paid more attention to the beginning of this thread. Then I would've known it was a 1995 car.
