95 Accord Engine mount questions
I have been battling a vibration issue at idle for months. I recently had a "Honda Experts" shop replace the rear mount. The one on there was only 6 months old and was defective ( according to the shop) The vibration is only slightly better. Not nearly as smooth as my 97.
After reading the Honda Factory manual about tightening the mounts in the proper sequence, I am beginning to think the shop just bolted the new rear mount in, without loosening the others.
Here is the rub. The Factory manual only addresses the issue in the Engine Re-installation section ;5-24 It presumes you have the engine out and are installing ALL mounts. It talks about removiing some 6x100mm bolts on teh transmission and side mount. It never says to re-install them. Are these just positioning bolts?
Would I need to go buy some 6x100mm bolts and completely unbolt all the mounts and install these to start from scratch?
Anyone figured a way to get the sequence correct when doing just the rear or front mount without going through the entire deal?
