96 Accord Driver's side window
This is my first post. On my 1996 Accord, the driver's side window rolled down and now it won't roll back up! I can hear the motor working when I push the "UP" button but the window is not rolling up. Is this a DIY fix or do I need to bring it in? Thanks!

Heres a 4-door LX, I dont know if there ismuch difference.
You have to figure out whether theregulator assembly (#3,10)has a broken cable inside? Or if it just let go of the window glass.

RE: 96 Accord Driver's side window
I've had this happen on rear window of Accords a couple of times. In both cases the small plastic turning wheel at the top of the regulator failed which causes the continuous wire loop to foul. No fix is possible except replacement of the regulator. You can find good aftermarket parts on ebay or used parts via car-part.com. You need a manual (see Online Manuals DIY) to guide door panel removal.
The front door latch outer trim cover on the door panel can be tricky to remove. It must come forward and outward to remove. Don't force or you'll be buying a new trim part.
good luck
