Okay, so when I unplugged the pcm I’m not getting any reading just an OL on my meter, I made sure I’m doing the correct wires and also I rechecked my distributor and now I’m getting a .405 reading. I’m lost on why I can’t get a reading

Now I’m really stuck, I went and looked at my ecu it is a 37820-P0J-L51 the ecu had writing on it like it was from a dismantler.
My car is a 96 accord wagon lx, so I call Honda to make sure that the one in the car is correct before I buy that ecu on eBay. The Honda parts guy told me that it’s the incorrect ecu and that I need 37820-P0J-317 so I looked that up and online everyone says that it is an “A80” for the last 3 digits on the barcode. I’m stuck because if the ecu in my car isn’t the correct one then why wasn’t there another cel for the wrong ecu being in the car? Also are these ecu interchangeable, I’m so lost and confused because the one in my car is a “L51” and those are a lot cheaper then the “A80” which is for the wagon. If anyone could help me out that would be great. I just need to get my car back on the road.

Just following up, so I went ahead and ordered the A80 ecu which I read in a post is for my wagon. I got it on Friday night and have been driving it around all weekend long. Today I hit 100 and change miles. That should be enough to “reset” the ecu. No check engine light as of right now. I will report back at the end of the week and make sure this was the fix! Going to be daily driving it for the week and make sure it is all set. Which I have been wanting to daily drive it lol.
