96 accord temp gauge and driver side fan not working help?

RE: 96 accord temp gauge and driver side fan not working help?
The radiator fan is the passenger side, condensor fan on the driver's side.
I just want to be clear about what you described. The condensor fan (drivers side) does not turn on when the A/C is on, but the radiator fan (pass side) works fine?
If that is the case, then turn on the A/C and pull the plug to the condensor fan. Use a volt meter and see if the plug has 12V across the two leads. If you have 12V at the connector, then there is a problem with the fan. If you have no voltage, then there is an electrical problem upstream.
If no voltage at the plug, check the relay first. The fans are run by two different relays. The radiator fan has a relay in the fuse box in the engine bay. The condensor fan has a relay that is mounted by the A/C compressor. There are two relays up there, one for the compressor and one is for the condensor fan. The condensor fan connector has a wht, wht/yel, blu/yel, and grn wires. The compressor plug has red wires going to it. You will have to do some electrical tests to help pinpoint the problem.
Instead of writing out the procedure, in our DIY section there is a post titled ACC 5th gen..., go to the dhost link and click on the Airconditioning page. On page 22-10, it has all of the information that you will need to test the electrical side of the condensor fan.
