97 accord non-vtec to vtec HELP

Default 97 accord non-vtec to vtec HELP

so i thru a rod on my non vtec motor had a vtec motor put in. didnt have the vtec wiring harness put in
vtec isnt kicking in its the solenoid that is not connected there is a grn/ylw wire and a like black plug with two pins in it.
i need help
if someone can post pics of how to wire it it would be amazing i have no money due to breaking my leg.

Do you have the VTEC ECU? That is the only way you will get it to work.

Ok then you just have to run the wires to the ECU.

i had the green/yellow wire going to pin A8
uhm i think thats the oil pressure tho im not sure

From the research I did that seems right. The 96/97 accord didn't have a pressure switch. Sorry its been a while since I messed with wiring up vtec.

The 96+ accords have a PCM (powertrain control module) which is an ECU and TCU in one computer. It can also be called the ECM (engine control module). Enough with the jargon.

What is the part number for your pcm? Is should start with 37820-???-???.

Let me see if I can get the wire colors and pinout for the vtec.

Pin A8 is green/yellow and is the vtec solenoid valve.

What year did your donor engine come from? Is your engine a 4 or 6 cylinder?
