Got your e-mail, sorry while at work I can't really answer.

I'll admit I didn't re-read this, but it sounds like this is either related to the ac or the cooling system. When the ac is on, BOTH fans are running, correct?...stone cold, ac on, fans should run.

What is the level of the cooling system....two/three days and the issue comes back.....

Definitely check that both fans turn on when the engine is running and the a/c is turned on.

When the temperature gauge is above half way in your car, see if both fans run while the engine is running.

When you flushed the system, did you use some of the prestone radiator flush or equivalent? Check that the hose from the overflow to the radiator is not leaking. Also check that the hose from the overflow cap to the overflow container is not disconnected.

Now that the car started overheating, is the radiator filled to the top with fluid?

You can also rent a radiator pressure tester from the parts store. The radiator should be able to hold ~15 psi. If the pressure drops, then you have a leak.

What is the maintenance schedule for the 98 accord timing belt and water pump? That information should be in your owner's manual.

well lets see to answer some questions, yes both fans come on when its stone cold with the a/c. i used a named brand 50/50 coolant, i think it was peak. the only time it over heats is in the afternoon and i can turn the a/c off and it will, after a few minutes come back on its own or i can turn on the heat and it will go back to normal quickly. i have bled the air out a number of times...i jacked the car up and let it run and run and run...what i dont unsderstand is im not losing any coolant, every time i check it its at the same level...the maintenance records say to change the timing belt after 105,000. i have 220,000 on it now and the timing belt and the water were changed at 120,000...so its due...but didnt want to do that until i was sure that is the problem. i guess my next step is to do the pressure test? even though i not losing coolant?
