Started my Accord yesterday to warm it up before driving and got out, closed the door and proceeded to wash the windshield. Key in ignition, motor running. When complete I tried to reenter the car and it had locked itself. Here I am, car running, car locked, key inside, no remote. Pulled handle, still locked. Went inside to to find remote and returned to the car with remote to find the car had automatically unlocked itself and THE DOOR WAS AJAR. I had not employed the remote. Is there any feature on the Accord where the car will unlock itself AND open the door. The car is haunted.

First, is this a factory or aftermarket system you have on the car?

 

Don't know. Used car. Has original Honda remote.

 

Check the numer on the remote if there is one and call your honda dealership to see if it is an OEM unit..
