Default 98 Accord EX 2.3 Fuel Tank Replacement

My brother has a 98 Accord 2.3 and somehow the fuel tank got a hole in it. He had it towed to a shop, and they want $600 for the repair. I think that's ridiculous them charging like $400 labor. I'm pretty mechanically inclined and was thinking I could help him out and do this for him. Remove old tank, remove fuel pump, install new tank, install filter. I think it seems pretty simple, but I'm not too familiar with Honda's.. If any of you guys had any incite, that would be great. I'm Greg BTW.. Thanks Guys..

Not completely sure, but I think you might have to lower the rear suspension subframe, before you can remove the tank. That means dismantling a fair amount of stuff. Still, people have done that kind of thing at home.

What kind of hole? Possible candidate for some sort of patch?

Default stupid subframe

That's correct unlike most vehicles you have to take the subframe off to get to most of the tank I count 3 bolts on each side for the suspension that need to come off .plus the 4 main bolts that hold the frame on and o yeah yer gunna have to cut and reweld your exsaust too.sure patch the tank with whatever if you can get to the hole most of the subframe is in the way..this looks like a huge pain spare yourself the haedach and just take it to a shop I've done many gas tanks and this is some bs..I also have a small holesomewhere and I think the frame is keeping me from reaching it
