Default 98 Honda Accord ECU/immobilizer problem

I know this subject is taboo for posting publicly, so I'm hoping maybe someone who knows the ECU for the 98 Honda Accord (4-cylinder V-tech) could possibly E-mail me the information I need. I've basically narrowed my problem down to the ECU no longer recognizing the immobilizer. I want to pull the ECU and mod it to no longer require the signal from the key.

A little back story:
I just put a tranny in the car in Jan. of this year. The car has 200k miles on it and it belongs to my girlfriend's uncle(he's disabled). I don't charge him for the work and he just doesn't have the money to just go buy a new car. This car is solid other than that. I'll do whatever I can to verify that I'm just an honest DIY'er trying to do a favor.

Thanks guys

The immobilizer is built into the ECU, so I'm not sure if there's anything that can be done without the proprietary Honda scan tool.

However, in addition to dealers, there should be some locksmiths that can deal with the immobilizer.

There are threads on other forums regarding how to remove the Immobilizer from the ECU; most have to do with Integras and Civics. They de-solder or break off the daughter board (printed circuit board) from the motherboard. I believe they have to solder in a resistor or something so that a trouble code and Check Engine Light doesn't come on.

However, like anything, do so at your own risk.
