Hey Guys,
News from the front:
Speed sensors replaced, shift solenoids B & C replaced (Rockauto really rocks... ordered Thursday, in my mailbox Monday morning through FedEx...).
Transmission operation a lot smoother now, still have a problem with shifting from 1st to 2nd (shifts late and not really smooth...).

I saw somewhere that there was a "reset" procedure where you have to drive for 30 mn at around 50 mph to recalibrate everything.... Is there such a procedure? If so, could you tell me more about it and could it be the problem?
Thanks for your help.

I've never heard of such a procedure on the old 4-Speed Honda automatic.

Thanks for your answer, Shipo.
Any ideas regarding the late shifting?
Transmission refurbished, torque convertor solenoids, shift solenoids B & C and speed sensors replaced. Transmission fluid good...
D4 light on for 3 seconds before starting the engine.
Going to study the FSM a little more...
Any ideas welcome.

Hi all,
Unfortunately, it doesn't look like this thread is inspiring... :-(

Anyway, more work on the car: side engine mount, radiator replaced, AC cleaned and refilled. Fans work fine, come on for 10 sec max and stop... :-)
Little cosmetic work still to finish: rear spoiler install, leathter seat fixing (holes).

Further work on this tranny:

- 2nd and 3rd pressure switches, and Throttle position sensor replaced
Shifting improved a little (less shock between all gears or it seems like it...)

Last problem is still late upshifting between 1st and 2nd in D3 or D4. Downshifting is close to perfect now.

Sounds crazy that there is no known solution to this problem considering that this tranny has so many issues...

Thinking about replacing Transmission range switch now (checked the FSM and it looks like it's the last part, except the coolant temp sensor, that is involved in "grade logic control system" - pp 14-32)

I'll keep posting to let people know.
