98 V6 - Very odd starting issue
I have a 98 V6 Accord that i've recently done some work on to get running again. New Serp Belt, tension arm, Alternator, new battery. Once it was running again, it had the bouncy Idle problem. Solved by a new Idle Air intake Valve. When I installed the part, I accidentally forgot to connect the coolant hose on the underside. I started the car and it ran for about 4 seconds perfectly then the coolant shorted out something. I let it dry for a few days and it ran perfectly again. It's been running well for almost a month with the occasional hard start.
Now - the current problem. Went to start it this morning (around 34 degrees out) and it did two or three turns then seemed like it got stuck, made a soft 2-3 second honking sound (actually sounded like the horn, but softly). Then very oddly, a lot of different dash board lights turned on and off and weird clicking. Tried again a couple more times with similar results. More oddly, some of these things happened after I removed the key.
It does have a remote starter, but that is turned off at the moment due to the fact that I had been working on the engine. I read somewhere about it being an ignition problem, but I'm thinking something in the solenoid/starter/main relay?? areas. Any tips on where to start? Thanks in advance!

First check for diagnostic trouble codes w/ OBD2 scanner. This may provide a clue. Autozone, et al will perform a free scan in many states, but apparently not all.
From your description, I would carefully check all battery connections, alternator connections for loose or corroded coonnection.
good luck
