Really HUGE vacuum leak: or maybe the throttle cable is hanging up holding the throttle open?

This is an old thread and a long shot that anyone will see this. I have the same exact problem with the same vehicle - 1999 Accord LX 2.3 a/t. I changed the timing belt, tensioners, water pump, and drive belts. When I start the car it immediately revs up over 4K. I have to shut it down right away. I bled the coolant and checked the vacuum lines. Did you ever solve the problem when you experienced it?
