Default 998 Accord EX shudders accelerating through 45mph

Ok guys after looking at 18 of 18 pages of threads I now ask; Anyone of you experienced a pronounced shudder in a 98-2001 2.3 V-tech while accelerating normally through 45 mph? Mine is doing this intermittently and since my daughter is driving it I am beginning to search for a cause. FYI 230K.
Thanks
Jim

What rpm range is it happening? Does the check engine light turn on when driving?

engine shake or do you feel it on the seat??
Have a shop chk the inner cv joints if shake is felt at seat
if felt in engine chk motor mounts and make sure that engine does not have a cylinder miss

Default 1998 EX Shudders intermittently through 45mph

I haven't noticed the RPMs, will run that down. I'm guessing engine shake.
Thanks.

If nothing else pans out, check tires for separating belts or something causing one tire to squirm around funny when accelerating. I had that (on a Saab) it drove me nuts because I kept re-balancing the wheel & it never stayed in balance.

Default 98 Shudder through 45mph

Haven't got the hang of being sure to include all the information related to my posts. The Check Engine light has been on for quite a while now and my mech sez the code indicates a problem with the charcoal cannister or associated valve assembly. Gas mileage hasn't suffered nor engine performance with the exception of the shake as I accelerate through 45mph. I think the mech told me it wasn't a serious problem and so I haven't felt much urgency about spending the $ to have diagnosis and repair.
