ABS light illuminated - 2000EX 4cylinder 5mt
Just changed the cabin air filter and now my ABS light is on. I pulled the 7.5am fuse on the passenger side fuse box for the ABS and put a new one in. I also disconnected the negative battery terminal for a couple of minutes and reconnected. I changed brake pads about a week ago and the reservoir was somewhat overfull. I sucked out some fluid tonight and the light is still on. Is there some way I may have shorted a wire when I changed the cabin air filter?

See following link.
DIY: SRS Codes and reading them. - Club RSX Message Board
I believe (not absolutely sure) the procedure can be used to extract ABS codes. ABS light will blink the codes. Codes are all short flashes w/ 10's digit separated from unit digit by 1 sec pause. So ffff-p-ff = 4-2.
Post your codes for followup.
good luck

I checked with Autozone and O'reilly's and neither had a scan tool to read ABS. So I dropped by the Honda dealership and they wanted $110.00 to hook up the scanner. I went to Harbor Freight and bought their scan tool for $107.00. Plugged it in and it came back with 15-1, which is right/rear speed sensor. I took off the wheel and pulled the sensor. Sprayed some PB blaster in their and wiped it. Reinstalled and pulled the negative ground for a few minutes and reinstalled. ABS light still illuminated, so I ordered a R/R Sensor from Rock Auto. That should take care of the code. I'll provide you with a follow up when I install it. Thanks for all the info.

I have had some success w/ removing wheel speed sensor, stuffing a rag into the hole firmly against the tone ring, and rotating the wheel to clean the tone ring. It doesn't take to much debris to reduce signal strength apparently.
good luck
