$90 or your life and that of those around you is a no brainer
if you can't afford to have a car repaired safely then you should not be driving on the roads its BRAKES don't mess with them. it still sounds like it is one of your wheel speed sensors acting up. Low battery voltage has nothing to do with it as the system only runs on a very small voltage around 4 volts I have worked in the trade for well over 35 years and I have never had a ABS light come on because of low battery voltage and even if it did, once the car starts up the voltage would be back to a good old 14 volts again

Only one other thing the ABS actuator sometimes plays up giving the same problem where the warning light will go out for a while perhaps even weeks and then will come on again.
I hope that it is not that as that is very very expensive I recently had to replace one on a Honda van 7 seater which was giving the same symptoms as yours.
Over here in the UK a vehicle with the ABS fault light on is grounded no longer safe to drive and taken of the road

The manual that came with the car states that if the ABS light comes on then you can still drive and brakes are completely functional it just means ABS is disabled. It says take it to the dealer immediately if both the ABS and the brake lights come on which hasn't happened. Nobody I am aware of has ever reported not being able to use their brakes if the ABS light comes on and I'm sure the brakes are designed not to fail from a car sitting overnight in snow. You must think the engineers are idiots.

I'm not going to die nor is anyone else from driving with an ABS light on. You don't even fail inspections where I live due to the ABS light.

Don't lecture me on this and tell me I'm endangering my life or the life of others and call me a cheapskate, it's very rude. I'm not drinking and driving or texting and driving here nor am I driving without rotors or something. I'm not saying "DUHHH CAN I DRIVE WITHOUT BRAKEPADS?" Money is not an issue, I make more than enough to pay 90.00 but if you think I want to pay 90.00 just so they can plug in a reader and tell me the problem then the answer is no. Two very different things.

It's clear you worked on cars for a living and you have a chip on your shoulder for people who don't want to pay you. Don't take that out on people please.

As for the problem it still hasn't come back since and I've started the car up multiple times. Never noticed an issue with the brakes so I would say problem is resolved. Thanks guys.

I am not suggesting that the the Car is dangerous with the ABS WARNING LIGHT on. (why do the manufacturer call it a warning light?) I know that the brakes revert back to completely normal brakes, its just that there are those out there that rely on the ABS doing what it supposed to do which is assist braking and cornering and if the ABS has an intermittent fault as yours had which I do hope has cleared up it can catch some motorist unawares.
I have no chip on my shoulder its just that here in good old england the powers to be (VOSA) have said any car that has a ABS warning ligh on is deemed unsafe to drive.

There are plenty workshops out there with a SOLUS diagnostic equipment supplied by Snap on tools that will read your fault code without charging the earth.
so get your wallet out and help some of the independents to stay afloat.
Why oh why do manufactures feel the need to put this SAFETY equipment on your cars
The amount of accidents that have been avoided since the safety equipment on vehicles have been introduced is astronomical.
Try braking very hard into a skid and cornering at the same time and you will see how good ABS is.
I am not rude just concerned.

I do hope your fault has been resolved for your sake
