Default ABS Light on, Replaced sensor still on?

Hi, I replaced the left front sensor about a month ago after the light came on, Everything was fine for about a month now I am getting the same code for the same side, I replaced it with a Factory Sensor. Any Ideas? the ABS Sensor wheel looked fine. Thanks

What does the "tone" ring look like?

The ring looked fine when I swapped sensor, I am going to take it apart again and check it. Is the ring replaceable?

Dirt/grime on either the tone ring or the wheel speed sensor can degrade signal and cause this fault code. Remove sensor and stuff rag into hole against the tone ring, and turn the wheel manually to clean.

You should also check the wheel speed sensor connector for damage, contamination, or corrosion. Wheel speed sensor signal is very small so any resistance may cause problems.

good luck

That is the abs connection correct? I did clean it and put Dielectric grease on it, the sensor was clean and appeared to be in great shape,

If you clean tone ring and code returns again, suspect a wiring fault or ABS control unit fault.

What DTC do you have 22 or 14?

good luck

Wheel sensor resistance can be checked (450 ohm spec). If out of spec, the sensor is bad or there is a wiring connector fault. If ohms checks fine at sensor connector and at ABS controller, suspect a ABS controller failure.

good luck

This may or not be helpful, but my ABS light comes on and I discovered that if I put the car in gear the light stays on but if I wait awhile until the light goes off and put the car in gear, it stays off. I don't know why this is, but it is. I assume it is a new quirk of a car with 125,000+ miles on a 2005 coupe. Very weird.

Ring looks good, Took off the new Honda sensor that appeared to have worked for a bit and put on a new NAPA Sensor and the light is still on. What to do now?
