I have a much older car. back when my car was made, pretty much every part was made in Japan. now I have no idea. although my car was put together in the USA. so Honda engineering American built. no wonder its running like new 30 years later : )

I am amazed at the age of many of the Accords on here. I had my 95 Accord for fifteen years and thought that was a long time. They are not the car company they used to be. When I worked at a Honda Dealership in 1987 they were recalling for rust ten year old cars. There was almost no warrantee claims for the first couple of years old. The amount of Honda's imported was allocated which brought the factories to the USA. Honda's were selling for over invoice before the factories came here.

my dad had the first generation Honda Prelude. it was Silver and rounded like a little space ship, before they squared it off. Wish I had it now. my dad drove the Honda my mom drove the Benz. I purchased my 1995 Accord on a used car lot with 73,000 miles and it was 1 owner garage kept mint condition long ago. the guy said this was the car I wanted due to the 2.7L motor. I knew nothing about it at the time. I paid him $5k and have been driving it ever since. I upgraded all the sensors, hoses, suspension, brake system, added a spoiler, nice muffler, stereo system and painted it black pearl, smoked out the lights, put aftermarket headlights with LEDs and Limo Tint. but it is completely original including the wheel covers. the interior is mint. 165,000 miles and it runs great for its age no rust Idles flawless. love the car. alot of work taking care of it keeping it running over all the years. but worth it as its never let me down, not once. put a new battery in it just today. batteries die here in Florida after the long very hot summers. they never make it 3 years lol
