Accord 96 Ex starter replacement
Hello guys, I'm new to the forum and been searching for DIY on how to replace the starter on my car. I couldn't seem to find anything yet so I decide to ask question here. Thank You in advance for the help.

First thing is to have the radio security code on hand. [if you have one]
Then dis-connect the battery negative cable, on the starter there is a slip on solenoid connection and a POSITIVE battery lead that has a 12mm nut securing it.
Then there are 2-14mm bolts that hold the starter to the torque convertor housing.
The bottom bolt can be tough to get to...I think a 6" extension with a 14mm deepwell socket will work.
If the starter is just clicking sometimes, the contacts might be worn down.
The cost of replacement contacts is way less than a new starter and are easy to replace in the 'ND' starters.
Here is a pic&link of the starter contacts in an 'ND' starter;
