Yes.

About $1,500 to $2,000.

The battery to start the engine is ~ $75

Poorman, are you in the car business or do you have personal experience with the Accord hybrid. The car is over 90,000 miles and have heard the resale of hybrid goes down considerable because of the cost of batteries, however 1500 to 2000 dollars is not that much for such a great car that should last at least 200,000 miles.
Thanks for any info.

No personal experience with the hybrid....just reading.

Cars, well +27 years in the automotive industry.

Personally, I'd just drive and worry about the battery for the elect motor if and when it comes about.

Default Accord Hybrid

With dead hybrid batteries, will the engine stop feature no longer work and since I believe with the engine off and you release the brake the electric motor starts the engine again, not the starter motor. So what would happen with engine off feature?

Pure theory......if the system detects the battery for the electric motor is dead then a fault will be set and a default will be used by the PCM and basically revert the car to a "normal gas engine".

Default Trans Fluid change Accord V6 Hybrid

Have 90,000 miles in west coast driving and thought about changing fluid. The book talks about changing the transmission and transfer fluid. What is the transfer fluid and is it all part of the transmission fluid or a separate and is drained at a different location, etc.?
Thanks for any help.

In the owners manual it should list the how to check/change the "transfer" fluid. If you don't have the owners manual, you can go to Honda's web site and enter your car info and a few other things and then download a pdf version of the owners manual.
