Accord Key
Hello - Can someone please tell me if an '09 Accord (EXL) key has any kind of battery in it? My first key which I've been using since buying the car has been working worse and worse. It's getting harder to get the buttons to respond and I need to be much closer to the car. I removed the screw and took the backing off but really didn'y see where the battery goes.

Once you open the cover (screw with a #0 Philips screwdriver), pull the transmitter out. Remove the black cover of the transmitter (it is held by two plastic clips), the battery is under the black plastic cover.
You should use a thread locker (blue) on the screw afterward; otherwise, it is very easy to lose the screw. The screw originally comes with blue thread locker on it. Replacement screws from Honda will also come with blue thread locking tape on it. A thread locker such as Loctite is available at hardware, auto parts stores. Use blue color thread locker, don't use red.
