Accord Shutdown
Okay here's the problem. I have a 1991 Accord LX (Automatic) that eventually shuts itself off without warning. I'll be driving on the freeway or streets for about 45 minutes and then the RPMs drop and the Check Engine light comes on. I coast to a stop, it starts right back up and drives fine and sometimes shuts down again (repeat the process). The shut downs appear to be getting closer and closer now (started at 1 hr, then to 45 minutes and is now hovering around 30 minutes). Any idea what this could be?
Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide.

RE: Accord Shutdown
You should read the thread titled at the top of the general tech help forum: Members take a look before posting a question for help.
It has a lot of useful and specific tips on how to troubleshoot.
If you can post your error codes stored, we can help you out.
It sounds to me like an ignition problem. The ignition switch or ignitor. Read that tegger.com link from the thread I mentioned, and it will help you out a lot.
