Default Anyone ever seen this?

I was checking my 2000 Accord V6 today and at the back of the near head was a few drops of what I'm certain is coolant. They were right below the fixture for the egr valve. Could this be the start of a head gasket leaking? I checked the radiator and it's full. Checked the oil and it's clean. I couldn't find any source of a coolant leak in the hoses but they are the originals. No moisture on them though. I am going to try to give it a thorough looking over tomorrow. I had been out driving it when I happened to find the issue so the car's too hot to go over at the moment. What do you all think it may be?

I am not so familiar with the V6 layout, so you may want to post a picture.

Take one kind of close, and take one with the whole engine bay so we can get our bearings.

Got any pic's of the location? Or a better description of the "back of the near head",,,,like in the center, towards the drivers side, towards the pass side?

As for better description, drivers side on the head nearest the front. I'm really hoping it's not a head gasket. The repair may cost more than the car now.

Hey looking in the third pic right across from the egr valve(reddish object) is that a freeze plug? I can't tell if it's leaking and I pulled the egr valve off to try to see if I could find any leaks and I can't see anything but as you can see in the pics there's a hint of coolant there.

From the pictures, the head gasket is below your EGR valve. The seal you see is the valve cover gasket. I doubt the head gasket is the problem.

You may want to rent a radiator pressure tester from a parts store. Since it looks like coolant to me, you would want to pressurize the radiator to around 15 psi and see if the system holds pressure.

You would want to look for lines with coolant above where you see the puddle of coolant. What is that hard line above the EGR valve?

I could tell about the valve cover gasket. My concern was with so much stuff on the side if the engine it was really hard to see how far down the head went. Looking back I think you're right. They just put so much stuff into that little engine bay you can hardly tell what is what in there. As for the hard line it goes from the head to the intake so I'm guessing some kind of sensor. Just by looking at it I'm starting to suspect that bolt in seal or freeze plug or whatever that is on the head right beside the egr valve even though I don't see any fluid on it. Give me a 46 year old Ford 289 any day of the week. Now that I can wrench on.

Take a look at the water pump exploded view at one of the OEM parts sites. It looks like the EGR valve bolts to a big aluminum casting called "PASSAGE, WATER", #8 in the pic.

Yeah, it could be the gasket right there.
