Default Anyone recognize this part? And a temperature question...

So few of you may know about my engine surging and idling issues. I'm wondering if it has something to do with the part below. When I first put a CAI in my car I had nowhere to put the vacuum line that went from this to a box connected to the CAI. So its directly connected. But at this point I don't feel a vacuum from it like I did before. Maybe thats why I'm having issues? Anyone know the part? I can't find it by googling or looking on densos part list.
Also, my engine is always at 200 degrees. Is that normal or shouldn't it be closer to 180?

Intake Air Resonator (IAR) Control Solenoid Valve, plug it.

I refer you to this page on this site.

Where was this located on the car.....by the oe air cleaner box or behind/near the evap can?

How are you measuring the temp? If you installed a gauge, what is the normal "error %"?

Thanks for the link. I plugged it directly into the intake. Should I plug it instead or keep it as is?

And its located by the Air intake. Runs to three different vacuum locations.

As far as the temperature. Its being measured by an ultra gauge which appears pretty accurate. Its reading the temp through the ECU- or at least sees what the ECU sees.

Yeah well I asked around and could never get a straight answer. I was thinking about plugging it but since it was connected to the box connected to the air intake I figured I might as well feed it directly to the air intake. I read the other thread. Its such a hard thing to find anything about surprisingly.
So do I keep it fed into the CAI or plug it?
