Auto trans shift points...

RE: Auto trans shift points...
The GN is a work in (slow) progress! Bought it a few years ago from a local middle-aged woman who drove it everyday...NO LIE!! I have accumulated a spare room full of goodies like a TE44 turbo,GNX Duttweiler intercooler.complete Hooker exhaust,3"downpipe/ wastegate,50#Injectors,2,800 lock-up converter, aluminum radiator, remote cooler and filters for the trans and turbo etc.etc. Essentially it's an easy 11 sec recipe on pump gas usingonly bolt on parts with stock block and heads. And no NOS!
I tried to get a couple of pics in this post but they didn't show up in the preview, although it said that the upload was successful. Go figure.
I guess what I'm trying to say is.....she's not for sale! Maybe after I've had time to enjoy the ride and I'm one point away from losing my license!!!!

RE: Auto trans shift points...
ok HondatechAV6 there has to be a tranny filter, Ive pulled up sizes for them at work and physically looked at them. Even my haynes and Chilton's manuals both say there is a tranny filter its just internal.
Steelroy: Marshalls, Hughes & Kettner, Peavey, Ampeg, etc etc I have stock in earplugs as well. still cant overpower a 5pc. DW 7000 series kit with full compliment of zildjian and sabian >

Earplugs are those glorious little things that will make sure that I have hearing when I'm 50 years old (Im 27 now). From the diagrams that I have seen in my manuals the filter is mounted inside the tranny along the flow path between the gear set, and the cooling lines that lead to the radiator.

Oops, had no idea this post went to a 2nd page! No wonder I couldn't findmy last post!! Krap.
Re: the filter...it's a piece of cake to get to,.....right? Has anyone spliced into the lines going to the radiator,a cooler or remote filter? Is the tranny filter listed among the filters needing to be serviced? Inquiring minds want to know!

omg, is that you?!? your probably twice my age and built likea truck! [sm=hail.gif]
that car is hot though, i'd love to buy it! we don't have points in chicago, i forgot how it goes. it's been 3-4 years since my last speeding ticket.
your right, it does have a filter, but it's called a strainer. it's there in conjunction with a magnet. it's not replacable unless you rebuild the trans. it's bolted to the servo assembly. it's not a true filter though, hehe.
(fyi - if you install a honda reman transmission you get an external filter kit with it.)
