I would rotate the tires frist and see if the noise moves from the front to the rear

im not worried so much about the noise as the vibration. i'll do that though, since there is sort of a humming sound every once in a whilecoming from...it sounds like the left front side. no idea what that sound could be, and i really have no idea how to describe it.

justcallme61, I'd bet you have a flat spot on a rim from a pothole or something. Two of my rims got it, just slightly, from some construction trench, and right from 63-68mph they buzz a little. You can't feel it in the car, only in the steering wheel.

You can swap wheels around to different corners to show (or rule out) bent or out-of-balance rims.

there's also another problem that i forgot to mention (at least i think i did, im too lazy to go back and check). theres a humming/grinding type of sound coming from i believe the front driver side, which leads me to believe it could be a bad wheel bearing. to better describe the sound- http://www.123ppt.com/sound-effects/music/320.htm, but it sounds a little more high pitched than that if you can picture it. ive been putting this off and STILL havent taken it anywhere to get it checked out because im broke and too lazy, but now i think its about time. it seems to be getting worse

bump

is it possible that both the noise and vibration could be caused by the same thing? a better way i saw it described on another forum is a humming/whirring noise. i wish i could get a recording of the sound, it would probably make it a whole lot easier

its not a constant noise either, just occasionally, which seems to be caused BY the vibration. or maybe not, i really have no idea.

yup, no luck. noise is still in the same place. it sounds like something is loose or vibrating, maybe even grinding.
