I was rolling (5mph)out of a parking lot (no pot holes flat surface) and when i turned my wheel left my car smashed down on its front end and made a terrible noise..i immediately shut off the end and got out bc it seriously felt like a bomb went off.[:-]

I look at my front drivers side wheel and the wheel is twisted completelyleft to right and is the only thing thats somewhatholding upthe front end..the wheel was holding the car up bc it was stuck on the wheel well

I look under the car and it looks like my ball joint went and then it smashed down and ripped out my axel from the tranny..[:-]

Had the car towed to my local guy who doesnt give me any bs and he said from what it looks like it may be around 400$ total..(this guys a straight shooter)($400 max sounds bout right ya think?)

This car has run great since ive bought it and i was just wondering if this was just a freak of nature or is this common...i mean...when it came crashing down it scared the dang shi^ outta me. Thanks for all the replies and comments

btw the fluids are always checked and maintained...and no squeaks

 

There was a recall that affected 97 Acura TL's for a defective ball joint. Perhaps some Accords got the same part?
