Beater with Heater Part III

Beater with Heater Part III
Now that I have a handle on the mechanical fixes, it is time do deal with the cosmetic issues.
there are a number of issues in this picture.
First is how do I remove the factory stereo and replace it with a cheap single DIN stereo?
Next How do I get the cigarette lighter out to replace it and add a usb/power port fed from the same lead? The usb/power thing will go on the right side by the glove box
And how would be the best way to add a two gauge set to the interior (oil and voltage)?
I also plan to put an ashtray down low next to the cigarette lighter.
Thanks
Steve
PS When I get done with all of this, I will create a Before/After post.

That CD7_CD9.pdf will show how to remove the trim to swap out the stereo. You'll find something on youtube as well. Pry out the hazard switch and disconnect the electrical connector. That entire outside plastic bezel all the way around the shifter is held in by clips, so you pry that out and remove. Then you'll see the bolts holding in the stereo to replace.
The bezel for the new single din might require some work for the bezel that comes with the stereo. The 97 Accord SE single DIN stereo has a CD player and not a tape player and will fit without modification. It depends on what functions you want on your stereo.
Voltage will be easier as you can wire the gauge to a constant power and ground. The pressure switch will be tricky, because the 94 accord doesn't have an oil pressure sending unit. It just has a pressure switch the goes from open to closed circuit at a certain psi.
For the USB, you could make your life simpler and just get an adapter for the lighter to USB unless you want to use the lighter?
